What happens next?

You can talk to a counsellor either on the phone on the Helpline number 1850 622 626 or local centre, or you can see a counsellor face to face at your local centre.

Depending on your needs at the time, you may find that one phone contact or one face to face meeting with a counsellor is enough. You can follow up this first contact by either calling the counsellor again or making an appointment to see the counsellor again. Your counsellor will give you details of when she will be working again, (if you prefer to see the same person) or you can call the Helpline any time.

In our experience it is often more beneficial to meet a counsellor face to face.

Can I come to you more than once?

For some services we provide we recommend a number of meetings with your counsellor to really benefit. This will however depend on your needs at the time and is not necessary for everyone.

You may also find that you need to talk to a counsellor at a later time when other/ new challenges or difficulties come up for you. You can contact us again at any time you need support.
