Getting to us
The building is located in Árus de Brún Newtownsmith Galway approx. ten minutes’ walk from Eyre square which is off Shop Street the main shopping area, across the road from the centre is Born shop. The Centre is between the Mercy Secondary school and the Pastoral Centre. We recommend that clients phone the centre for directions if needed.
Public Transport
Most bus routes/train service serve the city centre. The train depot is located on the south western corner of Eyre Square. Most Bus Stops from County Galway and Galway City operate from Eyre Square.
Parking
The most convenient place to park is outside the centre which costs €2.00 per hour, for a maximum of 2 hours. The Cathedral car park which is about two minutes’ walk across the banks of the river Corrib. This Car park costs €8.00 for the day or €2 per hour. Nun’s Island car park is beside it and is €4.00 for the day. There is also a car park- beside the Born Store which is across the road from the Centre. This car park is costs €2.00 per hour.
Access
Outside the building at the front entrance there is a Cura buzzer which gets through to reception. The counselling rooms are on the first floor – there are no lift facilities or disabled access but counselling can be arranged in an alternative room in the building on the ground floor by appointment if needed.
Welcome
The Cura receptionist or counsellor will greet you when you arrive. Our waiting area is not shared with anybody else.
